• Medicines, vitamins and mineral supplements provided by a doctor after surgery should be used without interruption.
• Nutritional advice given must be strictly followed.
• Solid or puree foods should not be consumed for 2 weeks. Abundant liquid foods should be consumed.
• During the first 4 weeks it is necessary to eat liquid food that does not strain the stomach. (Normal nutrition usually begins after 4 weeks.)
• No heavy sports during 2 months.
• Alcohol should not be consumed within 6 months after surgery (stomach reduction is not recommended for alcoholics).
